The students are learning about the benthic macroinvertebrates at Fife Creek Armstrong Woods. This is their second field trip in the Stewards from Redwoods to Coast Program where they learn about the Armstrong  Redwood Forest, and the watershed that connectes to the tide pools and the Pacific Ocean. The purpose of these field trips, is for the students to learn that all these environments are connected, and part of larger ecosystem, which is the Pacific Coast West.
