Are Trees Alive?

When I was at Armstrong Redwoods faces were popping up everywhere. They were hard to find but once you found them they were so realistic, and every single one of them had a different face. One looked old and tired, another looked young and sprie. One looked very, very old but still happy. One had two rocks for eyes and was staring at me. My question of the month is: Which ways are trees human, which ways are they not?
