Redwood Pinecones

At the beginning of our field trip our docent, Richard showed us Redwood Pinecones. They were both on the ground and on the tree. He picked up a green one that was closed and a brown one that was open. He said that there were little tiny seeds that pop out of the green cones and open like the brown ones. They each have 150 to 250 seeds.
