Nurse Logs

Nurse logs are fallen over dead trees that are stumps. Nurse logs can grow Lichen Moss and new trees. At Armstrong Redwoods we saw lots of nurse logs. Nurse logs can be the homes of bugs and rodents. At Armstrong Redwoods we saw a Nurse Log that had 5 trees growing out of it. Nurse logs are also called Nurse Stumps. Some of the trees on Nurse Logs we saw were bay trees, Redwood trees, and Douglas Fir trees.
