Armstrong woods is a wondrous where fungi and trees grow one of the oldest trees at the national park is 1300 years old. Armstrong woods is home to almost 805 coastal redwoods and it is also home to neon yellow lichen grow if it doesn't have food it will start to shrivel.redwoods can grow up to 300 feet tall one of the highest heights recorded is 360 feet tall.Some of the many trees that grow there have grown to look like faces and the rainfall averages inches per year which shrouds the trees in a beautiful shroud of mist.Normal thee trees diameter is 12-16 inches.

The tallest tree in the forest is more than 310 feet tall and the oldest tree is almost 1400 years old.
